Jason has always had an interest in the culinary fields. During his formative years he attended culinary programs which included an internship at Disney in Florida where he graduated with the knowledge and skills needed for restaurant management. After completing culinary programs while attending the University of Vermont he furthered his education by being selected as one of the few to attend the Italian Culinary Institute in Italy where. While attending he worked at Italy’s Michelin One Star restaurant La Locanda di Pietro with the renowned Chef Ronaldo Rizzo. He was given a Master Chef degree from the program.
After completing his studies in Italy Jason returned to New York City and worked at esteemed restaurants such as San Domenico, Oceana, Cipriani Va Tutto and was part of the opening team of the famous Michael White’s restaurant Fiamma.
Connecticut was Chef Jason’s next destination where he opened the restaurant of the Connecticut Culinary Institute in Farmington and their flagship school in Hartford. He also worked at the famous Max Restaurant Group and was chef for the Bushnell Theater program.
Chef Jason joined Nellie Green’s Restaurant March 2010 and became part owner June 2012. He strives to serve the freshest and finest quality items offered on his menu. His cuisine encompasses produce, meats, poultry and fish provided by local CT farms and businesses. He has enhanced the menus at Nellie Green’s with many gourmet choices for appetizers, dinners and desserts. His pride and dedication as chef are the important factors which make his cuisine special and with gourmet flair.
